Barstool Sports owner and founder Dave Portnoy was rescued by the US Coast Guard after losing control of his boat off the Massachusetts coast. Portnoy, who was reportedly alone on the boat, sent out a distress call on Monday after his vessel began taking on water.
The US Coast Guard responded to the distress call and quickly located Portnoy's boat. Coast Guard crews were able to safely rescue Portnoy and bring him back to shore.
Portnoy later took to social media to thank the Coast Guard for their quick response and professional rescue. He also joked that he was "not a very good boat captain.
