Kostecki Wants Bathurst Win Before Djr Move

Kostecki eager to claim Bathurst glory for Tickford before DJR switch

Move to Dick Johnson Racing looms, but young gun determined to go out on a high in season finale

Broc Kostecki is determined to cap off his impressive season with Tickford Racing in style by claiming victory in the Repco Bathurst 1000 before he makes the switch to Dick Johnson Racing for 2023.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a breakout year with Tickford, claiming his first Supercars race win at Winton and consistently challenging for podium finishes.

He will be hoping to add a Bathurst 1000 victory to his resume before he joins forces with Anton De Pasquale at DJR next year.

Kostecki confident of Tickford's chances

Kostecki is confident that Tickford has the speed and the strategy to challenge for victory at Bathurst.

The team has been in strong form all season, and Kostecki believes that they have what it takes to go all the way at the Great Race.

"We've got a fast car, and we've got a great team behind us," Kostecki said.

"We know that we can win, and we're going to give it our all to get the job done."

Tickford looking to end Bathurst drought

Tickford is looking to end a long drought at Bathurst, with their last victory coming in 2015 with Chaz Mostert and Steve Owen.

The team has come close to winning on several occasions since then, but they have always fallen just short.

Kostecki is determined to help Tickford break their Bathurst duck, and he is confident that they can do it.

"We've been working hard all year, and we're ready to give it our best shot at Bathurst," Kostecki said.

"We know it's going to be tough, but we're up for the challenge.

DJR move excites Kostecki

Kostecki is excited about the prospect of joining DJR next year, but he is focused on the task at hand.

He knows that he has a great opportunity to win at Bathurst with Tickford, and he is determined to make the most of it.

"I'm really looking forward to joining DJR next year, but I'm not thinking about that right now," Kostecki said.

"My focus is on Bathurst, and I'm going to give it everything I've got to win the race for Tickford."
